Hymns for Church Action on Poverty Sunday 2025
St Mary's Bramall Lane Church and Family Choir from Sheffield have kindly recorded these hymns for you to use in your Church Action on Poverty Sunday service.
The choir includes Stephen Martin, the artist who created the ‘Dreams and Realities’ paintings. It’s run by Yo Tozer-Loft, who also ran the choir in which all the people featured in the paintings were members. The hymns are:
- ‘When the Hungry who have Nothing Share with Strangers’ by Jose Antonio Oliver and Miguel Manzano, translated by Mary Louise Bringle
- ‘Liturgy of the Hours’ by Stuart Townend
- ‘The Trumpets Sound, the Angels Sing’ by Graham Kendrick
- ‘The kingdom of God is justice and peace and joy in the holy spirit’ (Taizé)
- ‘Tell out, my soul’ by Timothy Dudley-Smith
- ‘Jesus the Lamb’ by Tim Pooley
