About the year

EY2010 is a pan-European year of activities aimed at combating poverty. In the UK, it is run by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), who have identified four key themes for the work – working-age poverty, child poverty, older people & poverty, and severe & multiple deprivation.

Church Action on Poverty has been chosen by DWP to assist in running one national thematic programme, and two regional programmes.

Get involved!

All of our work for EY2010 is about listening to the experiences of people in poverty. We're inviting churches and community groups who work with excluded people to take part. We'll help you listen to the stories people have to tell, share them more widely, and campaign for change.
