Using the Sustainable Livelihoods approach and community organising to help excluded people in Stockton-on-Tees to have a say.
Thrive (also known as Stockton ChangeMakers) uses an innovative combination of two approaches:
- Sustainable Livelihoods to build relationships with some of the most excluded households, and identify the issues that keep them trapped in poverty.
- Broad-based community organising to give people skills and confidence, and enable them to work together to call for change.
