Resources

We have a range of resources that will be useful whether you want to read up on facts and figures about poverty, or reflect a concern for poverty and justice in your prayer and worship.

These documents and resources are available for free use:

Just ChurchJust Church
A whole programme for local churches who want to embed a concern for poverty and justice more deeply into their communal life.

Poverty & Homelessness Action WeekPoverty and Homelessness Action Week
We work together with Housing Justice and Scottish Churches Housing Action to run an ambitious week of local events each year. Worship materials, reports from events, and other resources can be downloaded here.

Poverty Action Sunday
Until 2007, churches across the UK used this day to reflect on the reality of poverty here, and what can be done to tackle it. Download the worship materials from previous years here - they are still a valuable resource for anyone planning worship with a poverty or justice theme.

Unemployment Sunday
The precursor to Poverty Action Sunday, this was an annual Sunday for churches to reflect on the reality of unemployment in the UK. Again, materials from previous years are now available to download.

Voicebox
Case studies and stories from people experiencing poverty and exclusion.

Reports
Reports from conferences, research and projects carried out by CAP and our partners and local groups. These will help you understand the reality of UK poverty and how to tackle it.

Reflections
Articles and poems looking at poverty issues from a Christian perspective.
