Voting for a Living Wage at the URC Assembly

At its assembly in Edinburgh on 11-14 July, the URC passed a resolution to pay all church employees CAP's recommended Living Wage of £7 an hour.

The URC signed the Living Wage pledge in 2003 and is supporting the Get Fair campaign. CAP welcomes this practical commitment from another church to ensure adequate incomes for all.

The URC joins the Methodist Church and the Baptist Union, who have already adopted similar resolutions.
