MPs call for payday lending investigation

Debt On Our Doorstep

Parliamentary support is building for Debt On Our Doorstep's call for an investigation into the growth of payday lending, and other forms of extortionate borrowing. An Early Day Motion in Parliament attracted the support of 29 MPs within only three days.

You can read the text of the EDM, and a full briefing about payday lending, at the DOOD News blog. If your MP hasn't signed the EDM yet, please ask them to do so. (You can find your MP's details at the Write For Them website.)
