Greenbelters Pledge to support Fair Taxes!
At the Greenbelt festival this year, festival-goers visited our Tax Haven Treasure Island and made a special Pledge...
Visitors explored our special 'Tax Haven Treasure Island' display, which explained the tax dodges that allow wealthy individuals and companies to avoid paying their fair share - and spelled out the unfair impact this has on people in poverty.
They then made a simple Pledge: 'I will pay my fair share of taxes - and call on others to do the same.'
A number of prominent speakers at the festival joined us and made the Plegde, including:
- Richard Wilkinson (author of The Spirit Level)
- Ann Morisy (theologian and economist)
- Inderjit Bhogal (theologian, activist and former Presient of Methodist Conference)
