Vacancy: Events and Campaigns Intern

Do you share our vision of a UK in which everyone can live a full life, free from poverty?  Do you share our belief that an end to hunger and poverty in the UK can become a reality? Do you want to work as part of a team bringing about meaningful change?

This internship offers opportunities to develop skills in event organising, campaigning and supporter engagement as part of a small, dynamic team.

You will contribute to our movement-building work over the next 12 months:

  • planning a range of events, workshops and conferences across the country to bring together and energise supporters, activists, partners and people in poverty;
  • supporting the End Hunger UK campaign;
  • seeking to engage a new generation of activists and supporters amongst young adults in the 18-30 age-range.

As part of this work, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience needed for future employment in this field.

This is a 28-hour-a-week paid internship for up to 12 months starting in September 2019, based in Salford. The salary equates to £14,560 over 12 months, plus a 10% employer’s pension contribution and generous holiday entitlements.

The closing date for applications is 10am on Monday 2 September 2019.

Interviews will be held in Salford on Thursday 12 September 2019.
