When the well runs dry: Spiritual refreshment for Community Transformation

When we are focused on serving others in our community mission work we can easily neglect our personal spiritual nurturing. This can draw us away from dependency on God and ultimately hinder our work. This Quiet Day will provide time and space to begin to rediscover God’s resources and replenish our spiritual energy.

There will be times of guided thought and ample opportunities to reflect, pray and rest on your own or with others. Creative materials will be available for you and you are welcome to bring your own. Lunch and drinks are included in the day.

The Peace Centre is set in rolling countryside with good local paths and riverside walks not too far away. The gardens offer closer opportunities to be outside. Spaces are strictly limited to 20 people.

Sue Hope is an ordained priest who has spent most of her ministry in the heavily urbanised areas of Sheffield and Doncaster. Her first incumbency was in an urban priority area and she has also been, until recently, Diocesan Missioner. She is the author of Mission-shaped Spirituality, which aims to explore the inner energies and resources required for mission. Date:
