As in 2008, we hope to have over 100 events take place throughout the UK during Action Week. The focus for all the activity this year is Voices from the Edge, a dramatic script being produced by Actors for Human Rights, based on real testimonies from people experiencing deprivation.
Action Week is jointly organised by CAP, Housing Justice and Scottish Churches Housing Action.
We need local organisers to plan events for Action Week. Whether you plan a full-scale performance, use the script in your school or youth group, or run a church service for Poverty Action Sunday, you can make a difference. Please get involved, support our campaigns, and raise awareness of poverty and homelessness projects in your community.
The script is accompanied by a set of resources: ideas and guidance for planning events, worship materials, ideas for schools and youth groups, facts and figures, and more.
