The Independent Asylum Commission (IAC) will be coming to Manchester to run a training session with the Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN) designed for you to:

  • Meet fellow IAC supporters who want to campaign on the IAC’s recommendations and asylum issues in the North West.
  • Find out more about the IAC’s work and how you can take the recommendations forward in your region
  • Learn campaigning, strategy and leadership techniques that can bring about change and find out about the importance of power, self interest, and action.

You should attend this training if you want to be part of the team that takes forward the Independent Asylum Commission’s recommendations in Wales.

The St James Centre is a church on the corner of Princess Rd and Great Western Street. It's a ten-minute taxi ride from the city centre or you can catch buses 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 109 from Piccadilly Gardens. This training costs £150 but the Independent Asylum Commission have funding to sponsor places for those who can show commitment to campaigning so the course is free on a first-come first-served basis.
