The innovative design of the project blended the views of ordinary members of the public on what that standard of living should be, with input from experts on nutrition, housing, fuel and household spending patterns.
The team from Loughborough and York Universities, who carried out the research, will present the background to the project, the actual income standards developed for a selection of families and the implications of the findings for policy, practice and future research. Copies of the full report will be available to attendees on the day.
Simon Braid, Director, KPMG and Teresa Perchard, Head of Policy for Citizens’ Advice, will respond to the presentations and the research findings. There will be an opportunity for delegates to put question to speakers. The event will be chaired by Anne Richardson of JRF.Â
CAP is campaigning for a Living Wage which would allow a decent standard of living for all.
