Be more than just a number: share your stories about inequality
One Society want to hear the ways inequality has affected you or the people you know - in your work life, neighbourhood, family or wider society. They say: "Statistics and graphs can only get us so far. We want to hear your stories, your experiences, your motivations for campaigning for a more equal society."
Watch the video to find out more. One Society want you to write to them or make your own video, with your thoughts about inequality.
Read other people's stories, and send in your own, on One Society's website.
To help you, there are three suggested questions you could answer:
- What are your personal experiences of an unequal society?
- Why do you care about tackling inequality? What motivates you to campaign against inequality?
- What would the benefits of living in a more equal society?
Entries will close on 6 May. All approved entries will be entered into a prize draw and winners will be announced on 13 May. There will be a special set of prizes for members of Church Action on Poverty's Close the Gap network.
The aim is to display many of the responses on campaign websites, and to use the best of them in submissions to politicians and the media.
